White Memorial Medical Center is one of several Southern California hospitals to receive a grant from (FEMA) to implement seismic and structural upgrades to their acute care facilities due to extensive damage sustained during the Northridge earthquake. Phase One was a master planning process which included programming by HDR. Phase Two, included Predesign, Schematic Design and Design Development, the preferred solution included a new 300,000 SF, seven-story replacement building and various building upgrades throughout the campus.
