Hospital Cafeteria - Kaiser Permanente

Los Angeles, CA

The Los Angeles Medical Center Rejuve(n)ate Cafeteria project is a 16,000 SF renovation of the existing record storage area to a full-service, 400-seat hospital cafeteria, including a new 500 SF terrace for outdoor seating. The cafeteria setting is an upscale, lounge-like space that provides a relaxing environment with abundant natural daylight. The kitchen provides space for high volume cooking, catering, primary storage, and dish washing. The cafeteria area includes serving platforms that feature exhibition cooking for fresh food. The cafeteria’s new façade uses a slopped, undulating curtain wall system and bridges an exterior connection to the neighboring buildings.
