As one of the major components of a campus-wide infrastructure upgrade, the 6,367 SF Emergency Generator Building provides space for five new 1,750 kilowatt diesel generators. The building is located adjacent to the primary street entrance into the Hospital, a location which presented a number of design challenges not normally associated with this type of building. TAYLOR was faced with the development of a design that was not only functional, but aesthetically pleasing and acoustically sound.
