The 6,050 SF Emergency Department Remodel at UCI Medical Center creates a more user-friendly atmosphere within the existing department. The relocated patient entry has been separated from ambulance traffic, and will be more visible to walk-in users. Also, a remodeled business office, new registration stations, and an enlarged triage/assesment area improves patient flow upon entering the Emergency Department. Upgraded staff support areas include lounge, conference, and radiology film viewing. Construction was completed in three phases over an 8 month period to allow uninterrupted emergency care services.
