The Critical Care Pavilion at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center expands the Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department. Due to a limited ability to expand these departments within the confines of the existing building, an option to construct a two-story addition to the medical center was selected.  The 53,000 SF program includes a 22-bed intensive care unit that can be subdivided into two-11-bed units. Each of the patient rooms was increased in size to support current technology and encourage family member presence for the patient healing process.
