Carrie Sheridan and Neal Rinella Present at the 2009 Health Care Design Conference

Carrie Sheridan, AIA, LEED AP, and Neal Rinella, AIA, of TAYLOR presented, “Improving Care Delivery through Care Collaboration and Healing Environments” on November 2nd at the HCD 2009 Conference in Orlando, Florida. Their presentation explored design elements that support care collaboration, healing environments and caregiver respite. They also covered how a project can be developed to provide optimal care for healing while also achieving areas that can aid in improving clinical performance.

Carrie Sheridan, AIA, LEED AP of TAYLOR also accompanied Rita Goshert, MA, CCLS, and Sandra Sherman, PhD, Psychology Fellow of Miller Children’s Hospital, held a round table discussion entitled, “The Story + The Research = Evidence in Pediatric Surgical Environments,” on November 3rd, at the HCD 2009 Conference in Orlando, Florida. Their presentation gave attendees insight on the realities of emotions involved with pediatric surgery. Patients, family members, and hospital staff all benefited from this round table discussion.
