Hoag Hospital Irvine officially reopened as an acute care general hospital and incorporates a new Hoag Orthopedic Institute. The successful revitalization accommodates simple design concepts changing the aesthetic sensibility of the hospital entirely, while leaving the lion’s share of the budget to be invested in state-of-the-art technology, new medical programming, and re-imagined patient flow patterns. The project is also one of the first hospitals in Southern California to achieve Silver Certification for LEED CI version 2.0.
